At AMA, we work with local communities to address social, economic and environmental challenges through practical and lasting solutions. Our programmes are designed and implemented with communities, for communities — ensuring real ownership, meaningful impact and sustainability.
We never claim partner-funded achievements as though AMA accomplished them alone. Every programme is attributed honestly: implemented by AMA, made possible through support from partners and visitors who believed in this work.

Community-Based Tourism
Eco-tourism built around community involvement, cultural preservation and responsible travel practice — creating income while safeguarding natural and cultural heritage.
Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment
Income-generating projects, entrepreneurship, skills development, access to resources and market linkages so households can build sustainable livelihoods.
Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security
Eco-friendly and organic farming techniques, crop diversity, kitchen gardens, farmer cooperatives, capacity building and agricultural inputs.
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
Safe water sources, latrines and handwashing facilities, alongside hygiene promotion campaigns, workshops and behaviour-change training.
Health & Wellbeing
HIV workplace mainstreaming, prevention, care and support strategies, nutrition and health work with the communities of the Rwenzori.
Environment & Conservation
Agroforestry, responsible resource management and conservation work rooted in the principles of sustainable development.
